Rest & Reset



Sundays are observed as a day for rest. It is the seventh day of the week symbolizing completion or perfection. On this day we should be resting and resetting to prepare for the upcoming week. Beside attending church service or cooking dinner for the evening how do you spend your Sundays.


In order to balance and maintain your mental health it’s imperative that you rest and reset often. The more our emotional cups are filled the more we carry until it spills over. How much can we carry on our plate, the more we pack on the heavier it gets. It’s extremely hard to operate and maneuver through life being weighed down. Now is the time that we get out of our own way, removing unnecessary stress and things that have held us back.


Here are a few ways you can maintain you mental health while you rest and reset.


  1. Stop Overthinking

  2. Meditate

  3. Read

  4. Get Enough Sleep

  5. Limit Social Media Usage


Can you imagine the progress and work we can get done if we did some or all of the suggestions mentioned above. We were created with a brain that gives us the ability to think and control our thoughts memory and speech. What we intake and feed our brains daily is in turn what actions and results we will have. These are steps that we start off taking small and increase over time.

Ephesians 3:20 says “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”. We have the power within us the decision is ultimately up to us to take action. Now move and get out of your own way!
